Order acceptance
Placing an order and paying at checkout is a request to buy, not an immediate contract of sale. We check stock before confirming every order, so your order is only accepted once we've confirmed the items you've ordered are available.
How payment works
When you check out, your card is authorised for the order total — the funds are reserved, but not yet taken. We only charge your card once we've confirmed your order is in stock, at which point you'll receive a confirmation email.
If only some of your items are available, we'll confirm those, charge your card only for them, and release the rest of the authorisation. Your confirmation email lists what's coming and what we couldn't supply. If none of your order is available, we'll release the whole authorisation and email you to let you know. You are never charged for anything we can't supply.
A card authorisation lasts a limited time (usually up to 7 days, depending on your card). If we can't confirm your order within that time, the authorisation lapses, you are not charged, and we'll let you know so you can re-order.
Prices and VAT
Prices on this website are shown excluding VAT. VAT at the standard UK rate of 20% is added at checkout and shown separately before you pay, and on your receipt.
Collection timing
- Orders placed before 4pm, Monday to Friday, are processed the same day: we confirm your order and have it ready to collect within 30 minutes.
- Orders placed after 4pm, or at the weekend, are processed the next working day.
- Collect from our trade counter at 25 Birkmyre Road, Glasgow, G51 3JH, during opening hours, with your confirmation email.
